Job description and principal responsibilities:
RINA is seeking a young candidate, recently graduated, to undergone a Marine Training Programme mainly in RINA Spain. At the end of the training programme the candidate will become a qualified marine surveyor. The role as a marine surveyor requires the candidate to use his/her technical expertise and commercial awareness to ensure that RINA standard is being met as well as assisting the client with their needs.
In particular, the job profile will be based in the development of the following activities:• Classification surveys of ships - newbuildings and ships in service.
• Surveying various types of maritime equipment, machinery and cargo-handling equipment.
• Surveys and certification on behalf of public and governmental authorities.
• Reporting, communication and cooperation with Clients and Colleagues.
• Contribute towards further development and growth for RINA.
• Produce accurate and concise reports.
• Deal with Clients' queries on a daily basis.
• Demonstrate a high level of effectiveness and commitment.
Profile
Training and Qualification:
• Formal qualification in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
• Physically able to work in confined spaces, hazardous atmospheres, extreme temperatures and weather conditions, etc. and therefore being not suffering from allergies, vertigo, claustrophobia, etc.
• Willing to travel frequently.
Qualification and Skills:
• Fluent in Spanish and English language, both spoken and written
• IT literate in MS Office.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and on tight schedules.
• Ability to manage conflicts and to negotiate.
• Pro-active customer focused approach.
• Holding Valid driving Licence.
Particular conditions and salary:
• 6 months contract in training, renewable according to candidate’s performance.
• Age below 26.
